Publicación Applied Research in Mining and Metallurgy International Congress(Universidad Católica del Norte, 2025) Valenzuela-Elgueta, Julio Andrés; Malekitehrani, Mohammadali; Cánovas-Vidal, Manuel; Calisaya-Azpilcueta, Daniel AlejandroThe ARMMIC25, held from November 4–7 in Antofagasta, gathered academics, researchers, students, and industry leaders from Chile and abroad. As a leading scientific event in Chile’s Northern Macrozone, it focuses on disseminating advances in applied mining and metallurgical research, tackling global challenges, and fostering innovation and sustainability through collaboration between academia and industry. Organized by the PhD Program in Mining at Universidad Católica del Norte, the congress featured discussions on six key themes: Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Green Mining, Mining 4.0, Materials Science, and Applied Nanotechnology. These topics provided an interdisciplinary platform to explore technical, environmental, and social aspects of modern mining. ARMMIC25 has become a reference event in the sector, promoting academic–industrial alliances and advancing scientific and technological knowledge to benefit both industry and society. The book of abstracts produced from the event reflects this collective commitment to the sustainable and innovative future of mining.
