Los espacios intermedios constituyen simultáneamente un hecho social y un espacio etnográfico-arqueológico. Se proponen las nociones de riesgo, sospecha y amenaza para abordar estos espacios y los ritmos disonantes de la minería. El concepto arquitectónico de lo intermedio contribuye a comprender las disonancias e irregularidades que desafían el orden estructurado del proyecto minero-industrial establecido en Ollagüe durante el siglo XX.This article explores the idea of in-betweenness as a space of memory and how past events and accidents are spatialized in the mining landscape of Ollagüe in northern Chile. ‘In-betweens’ are simultaneously a social fact and an ethnographic-archaeological space. The notions of risk, suspicion, and threat are proposed to address these spaces and the dissonant rhythms of mining.
